San Francisco Opera 2008-Present

Member of the Tenured Resident Corps; dance captain for several operas; dancer delegate since 2012.

Joffrey Ballet 1993-1995, 1997-2008

Danced leading and principal roles, some of which include:

  • Romeo and Tybalt in John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet; Albrecht in Giselle; Death in Kurt Jooss’s The Green Table; The Lover in Anthony Tudor’s Lilac Garden
  • Numerous Gerald Arpino pas de deux, such as Light Rain, Round of Angels, Sea Shadow, and Kettentanz
  • Twyla Tharp’s Deuce Coupe, Limone’s The Moor’s Pavane, Alwin Nikolais’s Tensile Involvement, Pilobolus’s Untitled, original works by Donald Byrd, and Yuri Kylian’s Return to a Strange Land

Additionally, served as union delegate and negotiating chair.

American Ballet Theater 1995-1997

Danced featured parts, including works by Kevin MacKenzie, Lar Lubovitch, and James Kudelka.

Northern California Dance Conservatory 2014-Present

Currently serving as a teacher, ballet master, and member

of the Ballet Program Advisory Board.

DownStage Solutions 2009-Present

Founder of DownStage Solutions and creator of Pocket Accompanist.

Currently serving as a member of the National Board of Governors for American Guild of Musical Artists

Schools & Intensives

Taught at many schools and companies, including Sacramento Ballet (Company & School), Northern California Dance Conservatory, Marin Ballet, Lou Conte Dance Center, Chicago Arts Academy, and Ballet Chicago. Intensives have included University of Wisconsin, Northern California Dance Conservatory, Portland Festival Ballet, Louisiana Delta Ballet, Eastern Connecticut Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, and Regional Dance America Southwest.

Choreography

Created work for pre-professional companies for Regional Dance America and Youth American Grand Prix.

Training & Education

Received primary classical ballet training as a scholarship student at the San Francisco Ballet School. Received prior training at Boston Ballet’s summer program and as a student at Sacramento Ballet.
